This course will update delegates on the key findings from audit monitoring visits by the various regulators - particularly the QAD and FRC.
The course will include a discussion of public reports produced by the regulators, how these link to issues we see on file reviews we perform and consider how firms can effectively ensure their own files do not contain these weaknesses. There will also be consideration of areas the regulators are likely to focus on in future.
The exact content of the course will depend on recent regulatory reports and emerging themes in ISA compliance, but examples are:
- Audit documentation
- Sufficiency of audit evidence
- Planning and risk assessment
- Challenging the client and professional scepticism
- Going concern evaluation and reporting
- Group engagements
