Practice Assurance - Regulatory Feedback

Course outline:

This course, aimed at partners and qualified staff, will review recent findings from the QAD annual monitoring report and also common points raised by Mercia’s reviewers in order to help firms prepare for ICAEW Practice Assurance visits and to improve their compliance with the Standards.

The course will include: 

• Outline of the PA Scheme and other regulations that apply to firms 
• Discussion of the reason some firms get disciplined 
• Legal and regulatory issues including AML, DPB and Client Money pitfalls  
• Feedback from ICAEW QAD and Mercia’s own reviews and draw on wider topical and emerging themes 

Please note, this course focusses on the ICAEW’s Practice Assurance Scheme, but findings related to AML, DPB/ERA and Client Money may also be relevant for firm’s monitored by other professional bodies.
