The next update to the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules manual is planned for autumn 2019.
This will incorporate the significant changes to the SRA Accounts Rules which come into effect on 25 November 2019 and remove much of the prescriptive detail of the current rules and replace them with a more ‘principles-based’ approach.
As a consequence engagement letters, risk-based planning and testing documentation and the report itself will all be updated.
