Preparing for RI - Deepening Your Understanding

Course outline:

Becoming an RI is a big step that requires strong audit knowledge and proven professional competence and we have created the Audit RI Pathway.

The areas we’re focusing on in this module include:

• Audit standards (ISAs) and ethical standards (FRC Ethical Standard)
• Accounting frameworks (FRS 102, IFRS, etc.)
• Company law, especially the Companies Act 2006
• Understanding of risk, fraud, materiality, and audit quality
• Complex audit judgments (e.g. going concern, impairment, revenue recognition)
