Accounting and Audit - What You Need to Know in Spring 2026

Course outline:

These updates will make delegates aware of the key changes in Accounting and Auditing and relevant legislation, that have taken place over the last 6 months as well as other topical issues which impact on day-to-day work.

The Auditing element of these courses will always be the final section of the course in order that any accountants who are not auditors may leave the course should they choose to.

The exact content of the course will depend on topical issues that arise but may include:

  • Updates to UK GAAP
  • Updates to company law, including the impact of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act
  • Feedback from monitoring bodies covering their recent findings (both from an audit and financial reporting perspective)
  • Updates to ISAs and the FRC Ethical Standard
  • Other topical and practical issues

Please note that the exact content for the courses running in Sheffield will differ to the live streamed and on demand versions, so as to minimise overlap with other courses running in this area.
