Job Role: VAT Trainer and Consultant (part time - 21 hrs)
Location: Homebased with UK travel
Salary: Up to £70,000 pro rata
You are a tax and compliance regulation subject matter expert, qualified to CTA or ACA standard or equivalent, with outstanding commercial awareness of the UK tax profession. As a tax subject matter expert, you are comfortable answers tax technical queries and as such would be happy to contribute to tax relevant technical content used for other purposes across Mercia Group.
You have the ability to apply technical knowledge clearly and practically to a range of client firms and situations and are experienced in writing and presenting high-quality VAT training courses and knowledge transfer sessions.

As our VAT trainer and consultant, you will be writing and presenting high-quality VAT presentations whilst also supporting the wider technical team and strategy as needed.
You will be supporting customers with tax technical queries via our customer helpline and contributing to the technical content for our other varied products.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for the production of high-quality, technically correct and up to date training materials and presenting agreed topics via digital platforms and face to face.
You will also work closely with, and support the Mercia Product team including contributing to the technical, client and competitor intelligence used to make Product decisions. Liaising with the Product Director and Managers you will ensure products relating to your specialism, meet and exceed client expectations, whilst also ensuring our Sales and Marketing teams understand them fully in order to explain the benefits to our clients.
