In this role you will be using your digital platform expertise to support our Product Managers in the delivery of their product roadmaps and the overall product strategy.

Main Purpose of Role

As our Digital Product Executive, you will be our go to expert when it comes to digital platforms, using your extensive knowledge to advise our Product Managers and the Product Director in developing and maintaining product roadmaps which encompass digital solutions.
You will work collaboratively with the product team to maximise the revenue potential of all of Mercia's products and services, ensuring a joined up digital strategy across the differing product areas, conducting competitor analysis in the digital space and feeding this into the Product Managers for consideration in their roadmaps.
You will also have the autonomy to identify resource (both internal and external) requirements for digital implementation and manage this as well as the cost of any digital platform implementation and maintenance.  You will project manage any digital platform implementation, supporting relationships with software partners and vendors including our website partner and our internal technology team.

Skills and Experience Required

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.

You will also need: 

  • Technical experience working with digital platforms, covering video (on-demand/live), content sharing, online training, online meetings
  • Solution driven. Experience in taking ideas from inception, through to launch on new platforms
  • Project management with the ability to research, discuss and prioritise relevant developments and/or changes in requirement.
  • Good understanding of UX & experience in organising and hosting client advisory groups (or equivalent)
  • Requirements gathering - ability to translate requirements to a solution.
  • Full training will be provided in the discipline of product management but any previous experience within this sphere would be beneficial.
  • Strong stakeholder management: the role will involve working collaboratively with Product Managers and other key internal stakeholders such as IT and Sales
